TikTok is a social media app that lets users share short videos of themselves. It has quickly become one of the most popular apps on the market and is often used by celebrities to promote their work.

It is one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world and we are happy to announce that Yearbooks Direct has joined!

How it started

Yearbooks Direct is a UK-based yearbook printing company. After producing a yearbook for a school located in the UK, one of their students posted a video of the completed product to TikTok.

The video went viral and has been viewed over 6.2 million times. It has generated over 1 million likes, 15.9k shares and 15.1k comments. This has led to users requesting the name of the business that created the book, which is pretty impressive!

Becoming aware of the video

Our team weren’t aware that a video had gone viral that contained a product created by us, until we started getting enquiries about a particular theme. Upon investigation and asking customers how they had heard about us, it was established that there was a viral video on the popular social media platform.

Where our journey is now

Yearbooks Direct is now taking advantage of the marketing opportunity that TikTok provides to get our name out there to new customers, along with current platforms that are already utilised such as Facebook and Instagram.

The realisation of how much potential the newer social media platforms, like TikTok has for us has allowed us to reach out to new customers in a way we never thought possible before.

The future

We are always looking for ways to engage with our customers in new and exciting ways. TikTok is a great way to reach a new generation of customers who are looking for something different from what we offer on Facebook.

We will be posting frequently which will include videos of:

  • Behind the scenes footage
  • Yearbook designs
  • Videos of our team (perhaps even doing some viral dances)
